mechanics

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on possible mechanics for a platformer/shooter.  I’ve been taking notes on Metroid, Mega Man, and Cave Story.

But because of the scenario (and my own limitations), I’ve decided to get rid of jumping.  So we’ve ditched the platforming, and now we’re just shooting.

Today I’ve mostly been working on camera movement.  I don’t have any screenshots to post, because everything looks like crap right now.

But the tentative subject for this game will be “hallway shooter”.
